L-Glutamine the God” of amino acids

L-Glutamine the "God” of amino acids

All my clients know I am not a big fan of supplements. I prefer getting all macro and micronutrients through food. In saying that I make an exception with L-Glutamine, and recommend between 30-40g per day evenly spread out or sipped on throughout the day.

    What is L-Glutamine?

It is the most prominent amino acid found in the body that has several important functions.

L-Glutamine is for digestion, macronutrient absorption, protein synthesis and helps strengthen the immune system. Majority of the food we eat is digested in the small intestine…. around 90% after passing through the stomach. The glutamine will aid that breakdown and distribution process and any remaining substrate that is left over has a secondary function of helping the body repair muscle tissue.

Over the years I struggled to find a way to get my caloric intake over 5000 calories per day for extended periods of time to grow. I rotated my protein, carbohydrate and fats every 4 weeks. Implemented HIIT sessions 1-2 times a week but my threshold was 5000 calories per day before I stopped the assimilation of food.

I then experimented with 5g of L-Glutamine after each meal and I was able to push my caloric intake to 6,500 per day without any forms of cardio.

L-Glutamine is a brilliant amino acid that is great value for money. Jump on board guys and girls!!!

100% agree with you on this. My knowledge was very limited on this supplement before working with you.

To be honest I always thought it was a nothing supplement really. Same boat.... since using it after meals I have noticed I can hit them higher cals even off cycle.

      No cardio either.... thankfully.

It is my absolute must have supplement now hrvtska

            hrvtska great post mate.

I always looked at L-Glutamine as a nice to have but unnecessary.

Will definitely be adding in 40g per day going forward.

            Cheers, Marty
